The façade for this mixed use and condominium development, in Brooklyn’s South Williamsburg neighborhood, achieves minimal contemporary lines and emphasizes a highly rationalized Cartesian grid.  To reduce solar heat gain on the building, subtly tapering mullions are strategically positioned in different orientations at the west-facing and south-facing elevations to provide the required shading for each solar exposure. The glazing throughout the building consists of both clear vision and opaque spandrel insulated glass units. At the ground floor retail, an aluminum-framed storefront system is used. Front consulted on the façade design during design development and completed limited construction administration.
