This Manhattan design school renovation includes new entries on Fifth Avenue and West 13th Street, a new street-level façade, reconfigured circulation, and a new enclosed atrium space. The street-level façade wraps the building with a series of floor-to-ceiling, deep-set, canted glass windows in which the glazing rotates independently of the frames, creating unexpected reflections and framing views to student work displayed beyond. Front collaborated on the design for all new enclosure systems in the building, from schematic design through construction administration, including the street-level windows, atrium skylight, and interior glass partitions.
