This unique canopy provides a covered walkway link between the central campus oval and adjacent buildings at the University of Wyoming College of Education. Front collaborated on the technical design for the multi-layered canopy assembly, which is composed of a perforated flat metal soffit, visible from below, with a low-sloped glass skylight system above that sheds water from the walkway. The resulting assembly allows light to penetrate through the perforations, creating dynamic patterns of light and shadow on the pavement below, while simultaneously protecting pedestrians from inclement weather.
